Kathryn and Tony: May 1, 2021 at a private home in Durham, NC

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Kathryn and Tony were married at Kathryn’s beautiful childhood home in one of Durham’s affluent and refined old-growth neighborhoods.

They had a small wedding in the amazing back yard. Kathryn was a joyful and beautiful bride, and she and Tony brought a tear even to my professional eye as they stood before me expressing their deep love and respect for each other—even when they were not saying a word.

The reception area was lovely and elegant. Their florals were created by a family friend, and were absolutely breathtaking. I am so happy and grateful to have been part of their wedding day, and I wish them every good thing life has to offer on their journey together as husband and wife.

Courtney and Ian: April 17, 2021 at Merrimon-Wynn House

On Saturday, Courtney and Ian were married at the beautiful and luxurious Merrimon-Wynn House in downtown Raleigh. Their ceremony was warm and personal. It evoked some laughter and some tears. Courtney was radiant in an elegant dress with simple lines and plenty of style. Ian couldn’t take his eye off of her, and neither could anyone else. They were so happy to finally be experiencing  this day that began the married life they have dreamed together.

I am very pleased that I was chosen to serve as their wedding officiant, and I wish them every happiness that life can offer.

Cheryl-Anne Kast of Kast Events & Company did the planning and coordination of a lovely wedding while observing COVID-19 rules. Everything was elegant and beautiful. Cheryl-Anne is always so well organized and prepared that she makes it look easy — and we know that isn’t always so!

The staff at the Merrimon-Wynn House did a wonderful job. Always available to serve and very mindful of COVID-19 rules so everyone would be well-cared-for and safe.

Corinna and John: April 10, 2021 at Bluegrass Barn

Corinna and John were married in a joyful ceremony on Saturday at The County Line Bluegrass Barn in Wilson, NC. They had a lovely country wedding surrounded by close family and friends. Their precious daughter Blakely was a very special flower girl. Corinna was a beautiful bride and John couldn’t stop smiling the whole day long.

I am so happy that I had the opportunity get to know them as we worked together on their ceremony. I know they are well prepared to have happy marriage and family life. I wish them both all the happiness their hearts can hold and then some.

“Early is on time. On time is late. And late is unacceptable!” Best quote from their wedding coordinator Ranada Reed. She is fun to work with, and she did a great job coordinating their wedding. You can be sure we started at exactly 5:00!
