Ketki and Sameer: December 26, 2021 at The Fairview Raleigh

Ketki and Sameer celebrated their “American” wedding at the Fairview with a small number of their family and friends.

They were very happy and excited, and they both looked gorgeous in their traditional Indian wedding clothes.

After I said “…kiss the bride,” I enjoyed watching as their families honored them with some traditional rituals of their home culture. I was glad to have the opportunity to work with them and to share this special time with Ketki and Sameer.

Soon they will be going to India for their “Indian” wedding where I understand they will have hundreds of guests and the intricate rituals can sometimes take several days. I send with them my best wishes for a very happy life together wherever they may be.

Ashley and Josh: December 12, 2021 at the Leslie-Alford-Mims House

Ashley and Josh were married on the front steps of this beautiful historic landmark that was originally a wedding gift for a bride.

Their faces were glowing with happiness and love as they said their vows to each other and shared their love story with a small group of guests. I am so grateful to have been there for them at this special time in their lives.

The couple were great to work with, and I wish them a long and happy life together!

An elegant and charming wedding venue, the historic Leslie-Alford-Mims House is located in downtown Holly Springs, NC.

Congratulations Michelle and Michael! Finally!

Because of COVID-19 issues, Michelle and Michael had to wait almost 2 years for the wedding they had been dreaming of. A last-minute storm changed their plans once again and like the troopers they are, they put on their most cheerful smiles and moved indoors for a gorgeous wedding by the fireplace.

Michelle and Michael were happy and perhaps a little relieved to start their married life at last. It was an honor to serve as their wedding officiant, and I wish them a long and happy life together!

Wedding Planner Caroline Emmons of Mint to Be Weddings did a wonderful job. She handled every part of this special day with grace, and made it look easy under frustrating circumstances.

Thanks to the Separk Mansion staff for their flexibility and great work under pressure.

Kelli Conley, of yah Photography told the story in marvelous pictures while being a center of calm as the shift from an outdoor wedding to an indoor wedding happened around her.
